Business Units (BUs)

A BU represents a domain with its own objectives, responsibilities, projects, decisions, and operational context. BUs do not share a forced common folder structure — each one's internal layout reflects its actual domain.

Belongs here

• One folder per BU, each with its own index.md as canonical entity page.

Does not belong here

• Reusable knowledge that is independent of any one BU — that belongs under Knowledge and should be linked to, not duplicated, from BU documents.
• People profiles — those are global, under 20-people/index, even when a person is tied to one BU.
